WHAT DOES ACUPUNCTURE DO?

By the insertion of sterile, extremely thin needles into strategic points, acupuncture balances the flow of Qi (life force) through meridians (pathways in the body).

        WHAT MAY I FEEL?

People experience this differently. Mostly there is no, or minimal discomfort upon insertion. A state of relaxation or energy may follow.

HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD IT TAKE?

This varies. If it is an acute problem it may only take 1-3 sessions. If it is something more chronic it can take longer to resolve the issue, however results should become apparent after a few sessions.

ARE THERE SIDE EFFECTS?

Side effects are not common. Dizziness and light-headedness are possible. Eating ahead of time usually prevents this. More common side effects are feeling calm and/or energized. Occasionally one may bruise or feel sore.

WHAT IS CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE AND IS IT SAFE?

The herbal formulas Christine uses are highly regulated, standardized, and produced by pharmaceutical companies under strict regulations. She generally prefers to use KPC and Sunten as her formulas.
