Christine Aziz LAc, MSOM is a nationally board certified and state licensed Acupuncturist. She graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City. Christine encourages patients to be part of the treatment. This helps the patient learn tools and provides the opportunity to incorporate them into their lives to find their way out of pain, illness, and disease and back into a natural state of health.

Christine is trained in various styles of acupuncture including Traditional Chinese Medicine and Trigger Point Dry Needling, and specializes in advanced Japanese techniques developed by Kiiko Matsumoto. This world-renowned systemic, effective, palpatory method provides instant feedback, and embraces the advance of modern medicine as part of the diagnosis and treatment process. Christine has had the unique privilege of learning and practicing under direct supervision of Kiiko Matsumoto in the United States.

Her expertise includes women’s health, structural imbalances, stress relief, and internal medicine. She specializes in treating yoga and sports-related pain and injuries, teasing out the origin of discomfort.

Christine’s personal experiences with dance and years of teaching yoga enriched her understanding of the human body and her Acupuncture and Herbology training . Her treatments integrate tools of movement/yoga poses, meditation, breath work, and mindfulness philosophy to guide her patients—as appropriate for each person—to get back on track to optimal health and wellbeing.

Christine believes acupuncture and yoga compliment each other brilliantly. Teaching yoga is her passion. She trained in the 200hr level at the highly respected OM Yoga Center in 2005 and has been teaching ever since. She continued her education with various classes on Thai Yoga Massage, Prenatal yoga, yoga anatomy, and teaching methodology.

Soccer has always been an integral part of Christine's life. Her father, brother, and husband are all life-long soccer players. Through her professional practice, she has come to find that soccer players are in need of focused wellness and strengthening support to enhance their strength and prevent/recovery from injuries. She provides integrated acupuncture, herbal medicine, and yoga therapy to help players reach top performance and address injury issues.

On the weekends you will find her enjoying her home along the Hudson River with her daughter, son, husband, and cat.
